(no subject)

Confession: I was using another site for my primary book journal because it had a currently reading feature and I can't get the Library Thing widget to work here. I was too lazy to repost here, but now that site is no longer being supported, so I will probably repost most of my entries from there on here soon (if I can access them, but I have a feeling the site is completely gone now so I think I just lost 4 years worth of posts). I'm also going to be catching up with some posts, editing my 50 book challenge posts, forthcoming books, etc.

But all of this might have to wait because I made an offer on a house Friday and if all goes well, I will be moving in seven weeks!

There, I got the widget working and what I'm currently reading is displayed on my main journal page and I have another widget with random books and a link to my LT library in my user info. And unlike the other site, I can display more than one book at a time because I'm always reading multiple books. Maybe instead of posting lists of books I just bought, I can just do a widget post with recent additions to my LT library (I'll try that later). I love new toys to play with on my journals and web sites. :D

I was going to put the widget here to show my new books, but I forgot that I added a bunch of classics I have read, but don't "own." I gave all of my classics away that are in the public domain and I either read or listen to classics on my Palm or my iPod now.

I had tons of trade credits from getting rid of a lot of books before I move (I've tossed 436 or so books in the past year and a half), so I went sort of crazy getting books and CDs recently. And even when I have a house, I still don't know where I'm going to put all the damned books!
